If you want to get information from the battery or would like to configure certain parameters manually using our software, here are the things you're going to need:
RS232 Cable
And you need to install the software! To download the software, please go to https://www.homegridenergy.com/ and click on the "Help" button here (or click on this link):

Once you've clicked on that, it will take you to this page. Click on the following link:
Go to the Upgrade Tools folder:
Go to the Drivers Folder
Download the RS232 Folder
Inside the RS232 folder, run the following file:
Once that is installed, we need to install the EMS software. Go back here:
Download this folder:
Once downloaded, go in here:
Extract this file
You right-click and select "Extract All"
Go into the folder it created and go into the following folder:
Then go to the following folder:
Double Click the setup file in that folder:
Your computer will ask if you want to allow permissions. Click yes:
Then this is the screen you will see. Click "Next" and agree to everything until it is installed.
Once you are done, it will ask you to restart your computer. Restart it.
Once you are back, go to the other folder in the Environment for ZRGP Tools folder:
Once in there, double click the Setup file:
Your computer will ask if you want to allow permissions. Click yes:
This window will show up. Click "Next" and agree to everything until it finalizes it.
Once you are done, it will ask you to Restart your computer.
When your computer is finished rebooting, go to this folder again:
And now select this file:
Right-click and select extract all:
Now, connect the RS232 cable into your computer and into the RS232 port on the battery (ports may be in different order, just make sure it goes into the RS232 port).
Go into the folder that shows up from extracting the file and double click on this file:
This will show up:
When you're logged in, the following window will show up. Click the "Port" dropdown and select the COM that shows up.
Click on "Open COM" First, then "Monitor ON".
Once you have that information, you will get readings on the screen. You will see the SOC % of your battery, your SOH% and all of the readings that are on that screen.
